About Us
About Us
NanoLearning is a marketplace for small learning objects, and some
tools for creating, aggregating, and sharing those objects.
What’s "Nano" About It?
We want the online community to create learning objects that are
broken down into their smallest logical units. Rather than a 30-minute
online course about a particular topic, we want to facilitate 2-3
minute chunks that teach you exactly what you need to know.
What is a NanoList?
Organizing a series of these NanoLearning objects into a NanoList
is like taking a bunch of song tracks from your favorite CDs and
making your own custom playlist. A NanoList can include any combination
of NanoLearning objects that you create, or somebody else created.
You place them in your own specified order.
How do I Get Started?
1. Create an account for yourself, which requires no personal information
and takes less than 30 seconds.
2. Think of a unique user name that you want all the members of
the NanoLearning community will know you by.
3. Start creating and sharing!
Do I Need Training?
No. If you can use Microsoft Powerpoint or Microsoft Word, you can
create interesting and rich NanoLearning quickly and easily. Pre-programmed
templates for all kinds of information display, learning interactions,
and assessments are waiting for you to configure in a wizard-like
approach. No programming is required, and you can test out your
creations before you make them available to everyone. |
