nice example of using multimedia. worth having a look at as an example. but the content seems somewhat paranoid ... scary! |

Keep in mind when selecting a costume the activities you will be doing.Walking around the neighborhood in the dark, with lots of other people, means you need to be able to see.If you select a costume that includes a mask, make sure that the eye holes are big enough to allow for good peripheral vision. For those little trick-or-treaters under five, a costume without a mask is safest. Look for all of the great ways you can use face paint, if you think a mask won't work for you.If your costume includes a prop, escpecially a weapon, make sure the tips are blunt and that it won't cause injury in the case of a fall.Keep in mind the appropriateness of your costume-will you be at a party with lots of very little kids? Maybe you shouldn't wear the scariest or revealing costume out there! - Young children should always go trick-or-treating with an adult.- Never trick-or-treat alone. Have at least 2 buddies go with you.- Plan your entire route and make sure your family knows what it is.- Wait until you get home and your parents check your candy before you eat it.- Be very cautious of strangers.- Accept treats only in the doorway. Never go inside a house.- Visit only houses where the lights are on.- Walk, do not run.- Walk on sidewalks and driveways.- Cross the street at the corner or in a crosswalk.- Take a cellular phone with you if possible.- Carry a flashlight.
